Asbestos is a dangerous material that was used in the late 1900s in construction and also by manufacturers because of its multiple purposes. It was great for sound absorption, resistance to heat; it has tensile strength and is also resistant to chemical and electrical damage. Asbestos when used for products which required heat resistance it was often mixed with cement or was combined with mats of fabric.
